What is credit repair? "Credit repair is the process of fixing poor credit standing that may have deteriorated for a variety of different reasons. Repairing credit standing may be as simple as disputing mistaken information with the credit agencies. Identity theft, and they damage incurred, may require extensive credit repair work." - (source) Investopedia
Is credit repair legit? I don't think it is.
Does the credit bureau make mistakes? Yes. Do people have errors on their credit reports? You bet! But that doesn't mean you need to be paying a company a monthly fee to correct those errors...in the high hopes of a much improved credit.
If you've ever been lured into thinking that credit repair is a good idea, don't feel bad. Many Americans have, otherwise these companies wouldn't still be around...making money. If you're looking to improve your credit score, credit repair isn't the way to do it.
