The #FED has been battling high inflation while trying to keep the economy from entering a deep #recession in 2023. FOMC Chair Jerome Powell has been extra hawkish or bearish when discussing inflation suggesting that #inflation is not improving in a way the Fed wants to see, despite huge rate hikes in 2022, a continuing softening of the current strong jobs market, CPI & PMI inflation data consistently coming in light, including December’s inflation numbers which were very light and showed great optimism for the economy and stock market in 2023.
