The stock market technical analysis today shows that the markets have had a rough month. All major indices are down 5%. Last week I stated that If this week ends bearish, the monthly stock charts of the major indices will be poised to suffer deeper stock market drops which can last several months before a bounce. Well, they ended nearly flat as a whole.
Next week is important. The daily charts on the major indices are poised to drop after some short-term bounces from their oversold areas. But the weekly charts are at some critical support levels, which need to hold our October could be ugly. The bulls need a major bounce and soon. We got the answer to our question last week whether the markets would bounce and if the smart money would sell into the strength. They did.
