It was a whipsaw week for tech investors when an early release of ASML earnings spooked the market that the rally in AI stocks was coming to an end. Shares across the space, including Nvidia sold off along with the semiconductor equipment manufacturer before jumping higher on a surprisingly good report from chip-maker TSMC. The dichotomy points out the difference in the chip market between those capable of running AI models and those for cellphones or laptops.
