We assessed thousands of profiles on LinkedIn to see which investment banks hire the most non-target students. If you're a non-target, it's not always a good use of your time to focus on the most coveted investment banks because you may have a lower expected value. Based on the data, the best firms to go for are: middle market firms, foreign banks breaking into the U.S., regional / industry focused banks, and accounting firms with transaction advisory teams.

We define a non-target school as one that sends fewer than 5 people per year to the very top investment banks.
