Investment banking isn't consistently 80 - 90 hour weeks. It's a job with a lot of ebbs and flows (like any other job) and it's important to understand both sides of the spectrum in order to manage expectations. On a "good day," you'll have a lot of downtime and realistically only work for a couple of hours, and on a "bad day," you'll be rushing around, juggling multiple projects, and getting very little sleep. The job typically has a bit of both, with most days falling somewhere in between.
